A house automated system integrates electrical devices in a house with each other. The techniques employed include those in building automation as well as the control of domestic activities, such as home entertainment systems, houseplant, and yard watering, pet feeding, changing the ambiance "scenes" for different events (such as dinners or parties), lighting control system, and the use of domestic robots. Devices may be connected through a home network to allow control by a personal computer and may allow remote access from the internet. Through the integration of information technologies with the home environment, systems and appliances can communicate in an integrated manner which results in convenience, energy efficiency, and safety benefits.
Home theater systems can become quite complex. As flat panel and projection screens have come into their own, the media components that go with them have even taken a new turn in technology. Between the cable/satellite/DVR boxes, streaming devices, gaming systems, and miles of cable, home theaters have become a visual and storage nightmare. With adding in DVD players, Blu-ray players, and other multimedia equipment, suddenly the clutter is pure chaos. As home theater system installers, we can help eliminate the clutter.
